Flexolite recommend the use of ‘Rapide’ Hose for automotive oil systems (also suitable for fuel, air and coolant) and supply four bore sizes - ¼”, 3/8”, ½” and 5/8”. Rapide hose is made from synthetic rubber with an inner textile reinforcing braid and has a working temperature range of -40 to +120 oC and maximum working pressure of 400 psi.
For all bore sizes we offer two end fitting systems – ‘PUSH ON’ fittings give a working pressure of 250 PSI with easy DIY assembly, without the need for clips or special tools. SWAGE or CLIP fittings requiring swaging or O Clips/worm drive clamps for DIY assembly. Flexolite can provide a swaging service where a 'factory finish' is required. Hoses can be made in our workshop, or we can supply swaging parts for the professional mechanic/restorer with access to swaging equipment. We can also provide quotations from old patterns you may have. Please enquire regarding prices of our swaged hose services.
